The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, congratulates Mr. Rungrat Viratikul, a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering, on receiving the Best Paper Award in the Innovative Electricals and Electronics (iEE) track at the 4th Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress (RI²C 2023), during August 24–25, 2023.
The award was granted for his first-authored research paper entitled “Investigation of Electromagnetic Mode Transition in 220–325-GHz Horn-Type Connector.” The paper presents a terahertz-band electromagnetic mode-transition study for high-frequency waveguide-based systems, with relevance to microwave engineering, RF systems, terahertz engineering, and advanced communication technologies.
This achievement recognizes the academic merit and technical quality of his research contribution and reflects his active engagement in terahertz and high-frequency electromagnetic engineering research.
