For Master degree, the applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree either in Electrical Engineering or in related fields of study and must also meet the requirements of the Graduate School. There is no minimum requirement on the past academic records. And in general students with GPAX of at least 2.75 of 4.00 score would be entitled to compete for various scholarship applications.

In addition to the course requirements, the degree requires that MEng students complete:
– Conduct original or applied research leading to a written thesis, pass the thesis proposal examination, and successfully complete the oral defense of the thesis, in accordance with the regulations of Chulalongkorn University.
– Produce at least one academic publication derived from the thesis, published or accepted for publication in accordance with the university’s regulations.
– Achieve a minimum score of 45 on the CU-TEP English Proficiency Test prior to graduation. Alternatively, students may enroll in English-language courses for graduate students provided free of charge each semester by Chulalongkorn University, subject to the university’s official regulations and announcements.

Admission
- Study information about the Subject Groups offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
- Specify one Subject Group in your application. If no supervisor is available in your preferred Subject Group, the department will consider assigning an appropriate research area based on your Statement of Purpose or other supporting documents.
For international applicants, a letter of confirmation from a faculty member of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University stating their willingness to serve as the applicant’s academic advisor is required.

Applicants with the above minimum scores who are admitted to the graduate program at Chulalongkorn University may be required to enroll in the university’s English-language courses provided free of charge each semester, in accordance with the university’s official regulations and announcements.

Applicants may be exempted from the English placement test if they meet the following qualification:
- Graduated from a program in which English is the medium of instruction at a recognized university. Applicants must provide an official certification issued by the university’s registrar’s office as supporting evidence.
