Types of Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to Thai students based on their academic performance and behavior. There are two types of scholarships.
- ISE 100: this scholarship covers 100% of the program fee for Thai students for one year. There will be only three scholarships of this type for the SEMI students each year.
- ISE 50: this scholarship covers 50% of the program fee for Thai students for one year. There will be only seven scholarships of this type for the SEMI students each year.
Applicant Qualifications
Applicants for the scholarship must have the following qualifications:
- New students must have the English, Math, and Science test scores above the minimum requirements described in the admission announcement. In addition, they must not have received any scholarships for the program fee from other sources.
- Current students who apply for the ISE 100 scholarship must have a cumulative grade point average above 3.60, and those who apply for the ISE 50 scholarship must have a cumulative grade point average above 3.25. In addition, they must have good behavior, must not have received any scholarships for the program fee from other sources, and must apply for the scholarship before the beginning of the first semester.
Application Process
The scholarship can be applied before the beginning of the first semester and is automatically renewed for the second semester of the granted year.
Evaluation Criteria
For new students, the scholarship allocation committee will consider the English, Math, and Science test scores. For current students, the scholarship allocation committee will consider the cumulative grade point average, extracurricular activities, and behavior.
Rules for Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship recipients must comply with the following rules to maintain the scholarships:
- Scholarship recipients must work at least 8 hours per week as assigned by the SEMI program during the school year.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain their student status and must not take academic leave.
- Scholarship recipients must not violate any rules, regulations, or codes of conduct outlined by the Faculty of Engineering and Chulalongkorn University.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain their cumulative grade point average above 3.25 (calculated at the end of each semester) for ISE 50 and a cumulative grade point average above 3.60 for ISE 100.
