Embedded Systems and IC Design (ESID)

Our laboratory brings together expertise in image processing, computer vision, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence to create intelligent solutions for real-world challenges. We specialize in microscopy and plant phenotyping, mosquito species image classification, and dangerous object detection in X-ray images, advancing both scientific discovery and public safety. Beyond imaging, our research extends to smart devices, smart grids, renewable energy, and energy management systems (EMS), integrating AI and data-driven approaches with weather forecasting to support sustainability and resilient infrastructures. By combining advanced computational methods with practical applications in health, agriculture, security, and energy, the lab drives innovation at the intersection of technology and societal impact.
